The Precious Blood Of Jesus!

I thank the Lord for His precious blood! The blood is one of the provisions that was left for us to help us get back to the Lord. The blood has never lost its power; it is able to do whatever the Lord sends it forth to do. With so many unfortunate things going on in the world today, we should never leave home without asking the Lord to cover us, our spouses, and our children with His precious blood. Here are four reasons why:

1) The Blood Cries Out for Us: Did you know that we don’t have to lift a hand when someone wrongs us? We don’t have to pay them back; we don't have to plot revenge. If we would just plead the blood every day; it has a voice and that voice will cry out for vengeance on our behalf.

Take Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:9-10 (KJV) as an example: "And the Lord said unto Cain, where is Abel thy brother? And he said I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? And He said, what hast thou done? The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground."

We all know how the story goes: Cain slay Abel because the Lord rejected his offering, but accepted the offering of Abel. The scripture tells us that Abel's blood was crying out for vengeance. If we want the blood to cry out on our behalf, we must plead the blood over ourselves every day. We must get ourselves clean daily by repenting and let the blood do the rest.

2) The Blood Protects Us: We need the blood of protection, so that we can be protected from the enemy. When Satan sees us going on for the Lord, he wants to destroy us, but the blood will cry out for our protection, just as it did for the children of Israel.

Exodus 12:7 says, "And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the house..." Verses 12 and 13 continues with, "For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the house where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt." Oh how we need the blood upon our heart and down both sides of us!

3) The Blood Pardons Us and Give Us Peace: The blood also justified us; it cleans us as though we had never sinned. Roman 5:9 tells us, "Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."

The blood has special power to pardon and save us, so it's essential that we live under this blood. Remember, for this power to pardon us, we must spend time repenting. Repenting will allow the blood to justify and cleanse us as though we had never sinned.

4) The Blood Delivers: The blood delivers us from the full stature of Lucifer, it makes a way of escape for us and draws us closer to the Lord. Ephesians 2:13 says, "But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ." The blood will deliver us - if we want to be delivered. 1 Peter 1:18-19 reminds us that, "For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."

My aunt sings this song all the time that says, "I'm going to stay under the blood; I'm going to stay under the blood; and the devil can't do me no harm." Now we know why the devil can't do us any harm when we stay under the blood - because it cries out for vengeance, it protects us, it pardons us and it delivers us! Stay under the blood, my friends!

With all that said, let the church say amen...and Amen!

Thank You, Sir!

Thank: to tell someone that you are grateful for something he or she has done or given

There's an old song that says, "I can't pay the Lord, I just want to tell Him - 'Thank You Sir.'" There is so much that the Lord has done for us - when we were yet sinners, He set us free, all of our burdens He helped us to bear, all our trouble God helped us to share. We can't pay the Lord, but we can say "Thank You, Sir."

Think of the woman that had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years and was bowed together and could in no way lift up herself. When Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said unto her, woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And He laid His hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God (Luke 13:11-13). I'm sure that woman couldn't pay the Lord for the change He made in her life, but as she was glorifying Him, I'm sure she was saying "Thank You, Sir!"

We have no right or reason to be ungrateful after all the Lord has done for us; because He has given us a little more courage to run this race of life. I know that some of us can say that there were times when we didn't know how we were going to put food on the table, or make that car payment, or if we would ever find a job. And as we think back upon those times, surely we can all say one thing - God has not failed us yet! We can't pay the Lord for all that He has done for us, but my friends, we can tell Him, "Thank You, Sir!"

He has kept us and brought us through many a storm - all the way from our childhood. Even then, He was our shield and protection. And I know He is our stay, because we could have been dead and buried in our grave, but God, in His mercy spoke one word; He told death to behave. We can't pay the Lord; we just need to tell Him, "Thank You, Sir!"

I'm sure if Jonah was here today, he would be a witness. After being in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights, the word tells us that Jonah cried out to God in the belly of hell and the Lord heard him and spake to the fish and that fish vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. Jonah said I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving. No doubt Jonah was saying, I can't pay the Lord, but I just want to tell Him, "Thank You, Sir."

With all that said, let the Church say Amen… and AMEN!

I Don't Know Who The Devil Thinks He Is!

Devil: the chief opponent of God. The personal supreme spirit of evil.

Sometimes we get so busy that we start to lose focus of who we are. We start dragging; we start getting irritated about small things; and we may even stop praying and studying as much. It’s in those times that we begin to get spiritually weak... and the devil starts to get real busy. That’s when he starts filling our hearts and minds with evil thoughts; we become angry when there's no reason to be angry; and we start thinking that we deserve better. Friends, I’m here to tell you today exactly WHO we are and WHOSE we are.

I don't know who the devil thinks he is, but it's obvious that he doesn't stop to consider who we are. We are the children of the Most High God. We serve the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, the master and owner of everything. Need a little more? We are the seeds of Abraham and under the Abrahamic covenant. Jesus loves us so much that He died on that old rugged cross, so that we could live and spend eternity with Him. Ladies and gentlemen, we are the children of The One who loves unconditionally.

Not to mention, we are the righteousness of God. We are so special to Him that He paid the ultimate price for our sins, our iniquity, and our transgressions. They were all nailed to the cross some 2,000 years ago. On one side of the scale, we might seem like we are nothing to some folks - a regular old plain Jane (or John); but on the other side - we are special and precious in the sight of God. We are the apple of His eye and He has us in the palm of His hand. Like the song says, we are blessed in the city, and we are blessed in the field! We are the head and not the tail; we are above and not beneath! We are champions with the DNA of the Almighty God.

If it ever looks like the devil just doesn’t get it - your job is to let him know! You stand tall and tell that ole devil, “I am the redeemed of the Lord, blood bought, ‘a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light’” (1 Peter 2:9). We are so incredibly special to the Lord, so do our part by putting His chief opponent in his place.

With all that said, let the Church say Amen... and Amen!
